Now you know our ultra fine merino is already very soft, now add cashmere to the mix and you've got yourself a delectably soft indulgence that is hard to part with, indeed. Along with Dalliance, Summit is one of our thicker fingering weight yarns, also with a lot of spring in its plies. And, the inclusion of nylon in the blend makes this one of our stronger bases. Summit also delivers an elegant luster that catches the light just enough to draw the eye. Whether you are working with Summit or wearing it, you're sure to feel as if you are on top of the world.

This yarn just gives and gives and gives. Like Song, this base is enchantingly soft. And the silk offers an added serving of strength and warmth. But the truly noteworthy characteristic of this yarn is its glimmer; Filigree offers a rich luster than seems to toy with light as you turn it over in your hands. This is what inspired its name, as it reminded me of the jewel-like way that the plies dance in the sun's rays.
Color Character: Filigree results in brighter color profiles owing to the silk content. Because the silk acts as a light reflector colors appear slightly lighter than they do on merino bases.
